The Community Elevation Grant (CEG) Program is a beacon of hope, leveraging the transformative power of art and culture in the realm of community development and revitalization. Launched in the vibrant Kings Forest neighborhood in the fall of 2022, CEG is dedicated to igniting change through creativity and collaboration. This innovative program, which seeks to empower neighborhoods through artistic expression, is set to continue its impactful journey into the 2023/2024 period, thanks to critical funding from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Cone Health Foundation.
CEG embodies the belief that creativity is a bridge that empowers change, and through the program, art-based solutions are championed to address pressing community issues. By fostering partnerships with local arts groups, CEG aims to provide vital support to artistic projects that celebrate, uplift, and honor the unique spirit of each community it serves. The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro (ACGG) takes immense pride in announcing its partnership with the Warnersville Community for the 2023/2024 Community Elevation Program. This collaboration epitomizes the spirit of the CEG, bringing together arts organizations and local communities to create a lasting impact.
To kickstart this exciting partnership and engage with the Warnersville Community, ACGG is hosting a listening session on September 12, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM at the Warnersville Recreation Center. This session will provide a platform for community members to voice their ideas, aspirations, and concerns, ultimately shaping the artistic projects that will unfold in the upcoming year.
