Skin Wars artists Cheryl Ann Lipstreu and Angela Rene Roberts to compete in Greensboro
Greensboro, N.C., September 24, 2015 — Media are invited to cover Living Art Greensboro, a bodypainting work session, competition, and runway show on September 27 at Revolution Mill in Greensboro. This is the second annual Living Art Greensboro event.
Twenty-one artists—some from the Triad and others from across the US and around the world—will share their work with the public before being judged by an international panel. Cheryl Ann Lipstreu and Angela Rene Roberts, artists who have competed on the Game Show Network’s hit reality show Skin Wars, will compete for the second time in Living Art Greensboro, as will last year’s champion, Alex Hanson of Brazil, who is the reigning World Champion in the “Airbrush” category.
Using the theme, “Days of Future Past”—a nod to the 17DAYS Arts & Culture Festival—artists will have six hours to paint their models, many of whom participated in New York City’s recent Fashion Week. At 2 pm, after four hours of painting, the doors will open for the public to watch the final two hours of the artists at work.
Doors open at 5 pm for the Runway Show, which will commence at 6 pm with a performance by Triad Aerial Arts. Jazz singer Sarah Strable and her band will also perform. At the conclusion of the Runway Show, cash prizes will be awarded to the top artists as scored by the judges and to the Audience’s Favorite Model.
