(GREENSBORO, N.C.) ArtsGreensboro announced today a $1 million goal for the 2020 ArtsFund Campaign, with Art Does a Public Good kickoff reception on Tuesday October 22nd at Dance Project Studio 323 inside the Greensboro Cultural Center in downtown Greensboro. Senator Kay Hagan and Charles I. Hagan III will serve as Honorary Chairs of the campaign. The ArtsFund supports the mission of ArtsGreensboro and provides funds to support its grant programs, provide technical assistance and shared services, and to market and promote the entire arts and culture community. President & CEO Laura Way states, “Art is a public good, and it is our job to help each member of our community feel as if they have access to, and are included in, the vibrant art scene that is Greensboro. The reception will include live painting by artist Raman Bhardwaj, music by Triad Ukulele, spoken word by Petra Salazar, and a dance demonstration by Dance Project. “Kay and I believe in the power of the arts and value its impact on our city and citizens. We are happy to be part of supporting the ArtsFund.”, remarks Chip Hagan.
