ArtsFund and R&R Campaign

2021 ArtsFund and Reentry & Reinvent Campaign

On October 29th, ArtsGreensboro launched an ambitious $1.5 million fundraising campaign in support of Greensboro’s arts community with a virtual kick-off presentation. The campaign, called Arts Through it All, includes two components:

$1 million for the annual ArtsFund, which supports the grant programs and service initiatives that sustain arts organizations, large and small, working artists, and teachers.

$500,000 is directed to the Reentry & Reinvent Campaign to support our arts community in building resiliency as they return to live programming.

“ArtsGreensboro is proud to serve our arts community and is doing everything we can to make sure that we can help artists and arts organizations emerge from this pandemic with the resources they need, the plan that will get them to the next stage, and the opportunities to serve the citizens of Greensboro from the southeast to the northwest and everywhere in between,” says Laura Way, President + CEO of ArtsGreensboro.

The 30-minute Virtual Kickoff highlighted this year’s Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs, Sunny Gravely, TAB Arts Center Executive Director, Artist, and Entrepreneur; and Ford Bowers, BB&T (now Truist) Greensboro Market President.

Special presentations for the campaign kick-off included guest appearances by Rebecca Buffington, ArtsGreensboro Board Chair; Community Foundation President Walker Sanders; Community Theatre of Greensboro Executive Director, Roz Fulton; and Development Committee Chair Nancy Radtke; and Laura Way.

“ Artists are the record keepers of history and culture. It is an integral part of any thriving society. It’s essential for artists and creative organizations to be compensated for their hard work and documented contributions to society.”
Sunny Gravely
TAB Arts Center Executive Director
“I will bring my perspective as a community leader to help bring greater awareness of the arts’ value to our City. From economic development to educational outcomes for children, all of it is important.”
Ford Bowers
Truist Greensboro Market President

The funds raised will be focused on building resiliency, with shared services, collective education and development, and new ways for organizations to be bold, adaptive, and inspirational.

Together we can stand united and ensure that our theater doors open again, live music fills our concert halls and open-air stages, poetry and paintings continue to enlighten us, and the arts flourish in Greensboro.
