Sixth annual 17DAYS Arts & Culture Festival will run at dozens of venues throughout Greensboro from September 9 – 25, 2016
For priority consideration in 17DAYS print materials, online campaigns, mobile app, and advertisements, event organizers should submit details by April 1, 2016
ArtsGreensboro announced today that the sixth annual 17DAYS Arts & Culture Festival will be presented from September 9 – 25, 2016. As it did in 2015, the National Folk Festival will anchor 17DAYS’ opening weekend (September 9 – 11); the free, three-day National is expected to draw 100,000 – 130,000 people to downtown Greensboro.
North Carolina’s largest collaborative arts festival, 17DAYS was a major success in 2015. Only in its fifth year—and with the addition of the National Folk Festival on opening weekend and the Heart of North Carolina Storytelling Festival during closing weekend—17DAYS boasted total attendance of nearly 200,000 for 100+ events across Greensboro. From top-flight entertainers and concerts to art exhibits, from theatrical performances to dance performances, and from special wine- and beer-pairing events at restaurants, wineries, and micro-breweries to street festivals and artist-studio tours, 17DAYS has something for everyone.
ArtsGreensboro coordinates 17DAYS, and garners extensive media support for the Festival. To be considered for inclusion in 17DAYS print materials, online campaigns, and advertisements, presenting organizations, producers, artists, and venues should complete the 17DAYS 2016 Event Submission Form online at http://17daysgreensboro.org/submit/, taking the following deadlines into account:
• For priority consideration, submit the 17DAYS form and accompanying images by Friday, April 1, 2016, to maximize exposure for the event. Submitting by this date will also ensure that an event is considered as a possible “Festival highlight.” (Priority submissions may be revised and additional images may be submitted through Monday, May 2, 2016.)
• For secondary consideration, submit the 17DAYS form and accompanying images by Thursday, June 30, 2016, for possible inclusion on the 17DAYS website and in the 17DAYS mobile app. Secondary submissions may not be included in printed materials and may not be considered as “Festival highlights.”
