JOB OPPORTUNITY

Program Manager

Full Time Position: Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10am-6pm
Salary: $17/hour
Reports: Directly to RAG Director
Job Summary:

This position will work closely with RAG Director to plan and implement programs, classes, and events. This position will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including working in the gift shop, answering phones, preparing mailings, maintaining programming/event calendar and preparing the RAG newsletter. This position will be particularly involved with the planning, promoting, and implementing of programs and events related to the Fall Festival. This position will require a person who is passionate about arts and culture and who will actively seek and embrace diversity in all forms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be able to assist with all aspects of running the RAG office
including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing gift shop including contact with consignment artists and gift shop
    associate
  • Increasing the diversification of crafts/art sold in the gift shop
  • Creating a monthly newsletter to inform members of activities and programs
  • Managing membership directory and distribution lists
  • Assisting with the development of diverse programming and events
  • Adhering to program budgets developed by RAG Director
  • Following the established methods that secure the proper collection and deposit of
    all program revenue
  • Maintaining communication channels used to advertise programs and events,
    including social media
  • Coordinating gallery hangings

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma
  • Experience managing and/or creating performing and/or visual arts
  • Experience navigating the cultural and communal background of Randolph County
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills and proficient with digital tools
    such as MS Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed to engage and work in a professional and courteous manner with a broad and diverse audience
  • Must be a motivated, adaptable, self-starter, with excellent time management skills, and possess the ability to excel in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to be a strategic thinker and planner
  • Must be resourceful
  • Must anticipate needs of organization and team

Special Requirements:

  • Willing to work occasional nights and special events (flex time hours available),
    and travel, when necessary, in order to implement programs
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds periodically
